Instructure, makers of the Learning Management System Canvas, awarded the Virtual, Augmented and Mixed Reality Laboratory the Innovative Technologies Award during CanvasCon 2026. Instructure was given in recognition of the Ateneo Virtual Reality Escape (AVRE) Framework, a software framework for building multipurpose VAMR software. The event was held on October 7, 2026 at Conrad Manila, Seaside Boulevard, Coral Way, Pasay City. Approximately 400 attendees from schools, colleges and universities throughout the Philippines attended CanvasCon.
